How two 'Van Es's' found each other
Ilse and I are both members of the women's network of the SOSU Club in Den Bosch - and there, through the grapevine, we heard about each other and the seeds of recognition were planted. We were soon on each other's radar.
Although we didn’t speak to each other in person at first, Ilse van Es ordered the Donna Dorée earrings for her media moments. Ilse, who runs her own platform and community for ADHD women, wanted to put her media appearances – from red carpet moments to TV appearances and her own theatre performance – on the map on a large scale. That’s why she chose the Circe statement earrings: the perfect accessory to shine on stage!
The order was placed quickly, because immediate action was needed for a TV recording. We both jumped in the car and found each other to exchange the earrings. By the time we actually met, it was already clear: Van Es and Van Es (Yes, this is my name since I got married. And no, we are not related!) had found each other – and that is a story in itself!
The power of woman supporting woman
After that first 'real life' meeting a natural bond quickly developed. We discovered that we had much more in common than just a quick transaction of statement earrings. We both believe in the power of women and their authentic appearance and self-confidence.

Those words touched me deeply and confirmed that my designs are not only meant to complete a look, but also to radiate a sense of power and elegance. Ilse knew exactly what she wanted – and I was there to make it happen.
What followed was a genuine mutual appreciation. Ilse shared her looks during various media appearances and I enjoyed her enthusiasm and shared this on my social media channels. When Ilse decided to launch her own magazine, De Dopa’s , she offered me to advertise – of course for a fee, because business stays business ! Woman supporting woman , but doing business is also part of it. For me this was a unique opportunity to share my world of statement earrings with a larger audience and more women who are looking for inspiration and empowerment.
And I can proudly say now: I am also in the second magazine of the Dopamina's! I am a fan!
It's beautiful to see how two worlds come together so naturally. We each have our own community and identity, but our collaboration shows that we can strengthen each other by simply sharing our passions and supporting each other.
This experience reminds me how valuable spontaneous connections can be. Sometimes the most beautiful things happen in the most unexpected moments - even if it's just a quick order and a shared last name. ;) Our world is all about flexibility, humor and nurturing authentic relationships.
