Some jewelry is more than an accessory – it touches on who you are, who you want to be, and moments that you will carry with you forever. For Sanne van Uden, co-founder of the SOSU Club , the Circe earrings by Donna Dorée are such a piece of jewelry. In this personal story, she talks about manifestation, style, memories and the power of feminine energy.
Manifested elegance
“I had manifested these earrings! I had been seeing the Circe earrings online for about a year – feminine, special and striking earrings. Really something for me, but I don’t buy such a beautiful, big present for myself that quickly,” says Sanne. “I saw the most beautiful models on social media and her website and thought: I want that too. I want to feel that feminine too, for a day.”
The desire became tangible. Sanne made a mood board and imagined herself sitting in a vintage car, dressed in 50s clothing – with the Circe earrings as the finishing touch. And then the unexpected happened: “Guess what. Not much later I had a photoshoot for Donna Dorée and I was allowed to model for this beautiful brand. I felt myself becoming one with the earrings and this clothing style. It did a lot to me, in a positive way. I got such a nice energy from it – indescribable.”

A unique gift from both sides
When her friends offered to buy a joint gift for her 40th birthday, Sanne knew right away: Circe had to be on her wish list. But things turned out a little differently.
“They found out that these had already been bought by my own guy. But he didn’t know that I wanted these earrings – he found out through my girlfriends. So when I got them before my party (which was later than my own birthday), I was incredibly surprised! Unpacking them was already a present. Of course, I didn’t take them off that day. I would love to wear them all the time, but I’m very careful with them. I only wear them on special occasions.”
Light as a feather, grand in appearance
What immediately struck her when she first held Circe? “They were much lighter than I thought! Because my ears are a bit more sensitive, I can’t wear everything (I’m sure many women will recognize that!) – but these earrings feel like a dream: graceful and wearable. These are perfect for that. And the details are even more beautiful in real life than at first glance. Perfection.”
She wore the Circe earrings during a Parisian shoot with Donna Dorée. “The way the earrings move... they are elegant and I always feel stylish and powerful when I wear them. They radiate luxury.” They are also a permanent part of her look during the events of her SOSU Club. “The compliments I get are also unprecedented.”

Circe as a mirror
For Sanne, the Circe earrings are more than just a piece of jewelry. They symbolize her development and her identity. “They represent the woman I want to be. Nobody is perfect and you don’t have to strive for perfection – but I do strive for (personal) growth.”
Circe reflects the classic, stylish, confident woman that lives inside her. “They remind me of a moment I will never forget: the day of the photoshoot. And they help me to choose my own strength again and again.”
About style, meaning and balance
Sanne believes in the power of aesthetics – as long as it is right from the inside. “Jewelry, but also clothing, hairstyle, make-up... it has to be right. If it is right how it feels inside and that radiates outwards – if it is pure and honest – then I feel happy.” She likes balance: not too much, not too little. “Just right.”
The magic of Donna Dorée
What makes Donna Dorée special for Sanne? “It fits perfectly with my own core values: authentic, creative, connecting – also with yourself.” Her advice for other women is clear:
“Don’t hesitate. Life is too short to wear boring earrings.”
Finally
“I want to thank you for seeing me,” says Sanne. And I want to thank you, Sanne – for your candid story, your energy and your unique perspective on beauty, style and femininity. Circe has found the perfect wearer in you.
